Michigan
State Fair Homebrewing Competition -
Results for 2008
|
The Michigan State Fair Home Brewing
Competition has become one of the
largest and fastest growing
competitions anywhere. From 324
entries in fifteen beer-only
categories in 2004, the Michigan State
Fair Home Brewing Competition has
grown to 721 entries in all 28 beer,
cider and mead categories in 2008,
making it one of the largest
competitions anywhere and definitely
the largest single state competition
anywhere. The size and growth of this
competition is an indication of the
vitality and strength of the home
brewing and craft brewing community
here in Michigan
CRAFT won 3rd place for Homebrew club
of the year with 30 points. We
were 38 points behind Motor City
Mashers and Primetime Brewers.- There are many members who did
not enter anything this year.
Let's try to plan ahead and make it happen next year. |

Homebrewing Competition -
Results for 2007
|
| Special thanks to
Kevin Kutskill for all his
countless hours and dedication put
in as this years registrar. Good
Job to all that entered, judged,
&/or helped Kevin in the
registration process. CRAFT won
3rd place for Homebrew club of the
year - we were only 2 points
behind Motor City Mashers for 2nd
place & Kevin could not enter any
beers due to being the registrar.
Had he been able to enter his
award winning Eisbock, Vienna or
Oktoberfest - we would have been
2nd. Also - there are many
members who did not enter anything
this year. Let's make it happen
next year. |
